Kozi Gliders does offer shipping to legal states. First, I feel I need to explain exactly how this works. I think some people assume it's like mail, USPS, UPS, etc.. but actually, we take the gliders in the special travel container to the airport on the selected date, drop them off there, they get on the flight soon after and fly to the nearest airport to you(that accepts live animals) and you pick them up a matter of hours after they left our care, generally. Due to the fact that it's an airline flight and same day shipping the costs are usually between $180 - $250. (Last I spoke with Continental the cost after taxes from ORD to TPA was $186. That is JUST that flight, not factoring in any costs for the carrier, the gas to and from the airport, etc.)
We use Continental for our shipping services, and all of our gliders will fly out of ORD airport in Chicago, Illinois.
(We ship through Continental because they are the only airline that is TOTALLY climate controlled. This means your glider will be kept at a comfortable temperature no matter the time of year.)
P r i c i n g
The total shipping cost is usually around $180 - $250.
This includes the shipping container, tons of fleece blankets for comfort, a pouch or two for sleeping and some fruit for hydration and snacking during the flight.
A health certificate is only required if declaring a value for the animal being shipped, therefore it isn't necessairy. We do however suggest it as we have no control once the animal leaves our care. Health certificates are available at the buyer's expense.
If you're purchasing multiple joeys from us odds are they'll be able to be shipped together and you'll pay a single flat rate. Shipping is per container and weight, not animal.
P a y m e n t
Payment must be recieved in advance as the flight has to be booked prior to the shipping date. We'll sit down and discuss what days work for both of us and payment will be due the day before the flight is booked.
